Supporting Social-Emotional Development- Part 1

This is Part 1 of 2 sessions on Social-Emotional Development. Learn how to understand and support the social-emotional development of the children in your care. A child’s social-emotional development shapes their sense of self, influences how they learn and fosters meaningful relationships. It drives communication, connection and conflict resolution, building the confidence and resilience needed to achieve goals. A strong social-emotional foundation in childhood sets the stage for lifelong happiness and the ability to navigate stress and challenges as adults.

In this two-part workshop series, early educators will explore:

  • Helping children understand their feelings and emotions
  • Supporting children’s emotional growth
  • Promoting social-emotional development
  • Managing behaviors adults find challenging
  • Strategies for effective behavior management
